Your tax-deductible cash donation is always welcome and may be given directly to the Friends of The City Library, a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation will enrich, not replace, traditional tax-based funding and allow us to expand cultural programs and services. There are several ways to donate money to The City Library.

The Friends of The City Library accepts donations of gently-used books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, and comic books. These items are then sold, and the proceeds fund a variety of Library projects including programs and exhibits, materials, outreach events, computer equipment, furnishings, and more.
You can drop off donations at any City Library location. Large donations (multiple boxes) should be taken to the Main Library. If you need help unloading, please call 801-524-8200 to make advanced arrangements.
Donations are tax-deductible. We will provide a proof-of-donation receipt upon request. Please consult with an accountant or tax preparer to determine the value of your donation.
NOTE: We cannot accept books with time-sensitive topics, such as business, tax, investment, computers/software, textbooks, etc. For questions and more information, please call 801-524-8238.
