The City Library has prepared a draft plan for a phased return to library service. Please note that at this time we do not have any set date for fully reopening. The City Library is following Utah State's official guidelines, "COVID-19 Transmission Index." The City Library’s plan is in accordance with this staged approach. Here you will find what to expect during the different stages of COVID-19 restrictions, and the conditions the Library must meet in order to offer services.

Open to Limited Staff, Curbside Services Only
  • Library locations remain closed to the public.
  • Limited staff may return to work at closed locations, with adapted schedules and physical spaces modified for safety; telecommuting will continue.
  • Staff develop and offer regular online/virtual programs.
  • Library service provided via phone, text, email, social media, and website.
  • Bookdrops are open and return of materials are welcomed. Staff follow CDC and other recommendations to safely receive, quarantine and sanitize returned materials.
  • Some borrowing of tangible library items resumes via Holds-to-Go curbside pickup.
  • Volunteers, including Friends of the Library, can resume operations in accordance with established staff safety protocols.
